Robert McNeil – Principal Partner

Rob became a partner with RB Sharpe & Co in 2014 after joining the firm as an accountant with a Bachelor of Business degree in 2001. A Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, his qualifications and experience in highly specialised aspects of tax accounting and business services provide the company with best practice oversight of such activities as FBT, GST and CGT management and reporting, property development processes, small business concessions and Division 7A dividend determinations.

A keen AFL follower, Rob plays an active role in football administration at a local community level as a life member and former executive committee member of the Canning South Perth Football Club. He is also a self-confessed techno tragic who keeps himself and the company ahead of the game where computers and associated technology are concerned. Rob believes trust and good advice are the essential ingredients of successful and sustainable client relationships.

Jeff Carger

An accountant with over 30 years of experience, Jeff joined Ron Sharpe soon after the establishment of R B Sharpe & Co and has been a major factor in the evolution of the practice. Responsible for a diverse range of clients, Jeff’s attention to detail and fierce determination to leave no stone unturned means clients receive the highest possible service and best outcomes.

An avid sports fan, Jeff has filled various executive roles in the North Beach Junior Football Club and continues to be a vocal supporter of the Lancelin community.

Liz Crier

Liz joined RB Sharpe & Co in 1999 as one of its progressive team of accountants. Well equipped with a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Computer Studies degree, Liz specialises in tax and business management services with a strong focus on self-managed super funds and small business consultancy.

Her mission is to provide an efficient and friendly service, to be approachable and available to answer questions and obtain solutions. Otherwise, she immerses herself in card games, cooking and gardening.

Ron Sharpe

Having worked for many years gaining wide-ranging experience in the global business sector, Ron put the benefit of an extensive knowledge base to work with the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector when he left the big end of town to establish RB Sharpe & Co in 1988. As founding partner, he has been responsible for the firm’s growth as a multi-faceted practice focussing on the needs of a diverse client base with personal connectivity and uncompromising professional standards.

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, his mantra has always been to employ the best people, train them well and mould them into a team capable of delivering the expertise required to underscore the best possible financial outcomes for the firm’s clients. With a love of sport and travel never far from his heart, Ron balances his passion for the business with equally fervent support for the West Coast Eagles football club, of which he is a foundation member.

Stephen Hagan

A Chartered Accountant, Stephen joined RB Sharpe & Co in 2008 to manage a diverse portfolio of client needs, specialising in taxation, audit and self-managed super funds. Equipped with a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in accounting and tax studies, the scope of his expertise covers corporate secretarial work, business and personal tax returns, tax planning, SMSF data processing, audit assignments, BAS/IAS management and data file reviews.

He also puts his accountancy skill to good use as treasurer of his local cricket club, where he has padded up in junior and senior teams every year since 1996. Every other season he joins the AFL’s ‘purple haze’ as club. Stephen was the Young People Who Care WA award winner in 2005, gaining a second nomination in 2006.

Filomena Dear

Filomena embodies the RB Sharpe & Co mantra to create a happy business family in which both staff and clients can feel at home. The maintenance of a harmonious work environment has been a high priority for Filomena since joining the company as a bookkeeper/accountant in 2000.

When she is not preparing financial statements, tax returns and business activity statements, or undertaking tax planning assignments on behalf of her clients, she enjoys trading the benefits of her accountancy diploma for those of lifestyle pursuits such as walking, bike riding, swimming, camping and cooking.

Coleen Sharpe

As the practice’s senior administration officer and principal bookkeeper, Coleen’s primary focus at RB Sharpe & Co since 1998 has been to help clients stay in control of their day-to-day financial dealings by taking the guesswork out of their number crunching. Using mainly MYOB accounting software, she takes a hands-on role in the maintenance of accurate financial and management account processes, including salary and wages administration for both the practice and many of its clients.

She is a West Coast Eagles football tragic who also plays a mean bridge hand and enjoys cooking up a gourmet storm.

Emily Hadwiger

Emily joined RB Sharpe & Co in 2020. Having graduated from Murdoch University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Business and double major in Accounting & Finance, she works closely with the partners to manage a range of corporate secretarial tasks and is developing her skills in the preparation of business and personal income tax returns, data file reviews and BAS/IAS management. She is currently working towards membership of Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand. When Emily is not in the gym or running boundary, she is managing the books as treasurer and executive committee member of Kwinana Knights Football Club.
